This round trip is perfect for travelers who arrive in Romania in Bucharest and want to discover the most of Transylvania in just two days. We’ll enter Transylvania through
Prahova Valley where we’ll have the chance to visit Peles Castle, built by the first king of Romania, Carol I, in a exquisite German Renaissance style.
The trip will continue with Bran Castle, this fairy tale fortress erected in the 14th century by the Saxons and mistakenly associated with Dracula legend.
The first day will end with a sightseeing tour in Brasov, this beautiful medieval city, surrounded like a halo by the Carpathians and resplendent with Gothic,
baroque and renaissance architecture.
The next day we’ll follow the line of the Carpathians and will head west, to Sibiu , this romantic medieval city, the former European Capital of Culture in 2007.
After a walking tour in the Old Town we’ll visit Astra Village museum, an impressive open air exhibition of rural Romania. We’ll return to Bucharest in the afternoon,
using either Olt Valley Road, or Transfagarasan Highway (only in the summer months).
